STARTIMES INTRODUCES LOCAL PROGRAMMING THROUGH STAR SWAHILI CHANNEL
•Self-produced Star Swahili channel to encompass major Kenyan productions
StarTimes has unveiled a revamped channel offering for the Kenyan subscribers that will include local content broadcasted through the new self-produced channel Star Swahili.
We have partnered with content developers in the country to promote local talent with the major flagship content being Churchill Live, Kenya’s leading stand-up comedy show, Samantha Bridal,a wedding reality show with heavy emphasis on the trials and challenges couple’s face as they plan their weddings and Upishi Extra, a lifestyle show that aims at showing fast ways to make amazing dishes.
Star Swahili promises an unrivaled mix of Swahili movies, series, drama, comedy, documentaries, celebrity lifestyles and talk shows.
StarTimes has pre-licensed an array of fresh shows with an equally exciting offering expected to sustain the channel’s subscriber appeal moving forward.
The channel will be available on all the StarTimes bouquet options including the basic bouquet that retails at Ksh 499 per month while eying growth in similar channel options in the future which will include other Kenyan dialects as well.
